Stairs. Oh, stairs.

So, fellow fit teachers… I’ve been pretty good this summer about exercise.

Yesterday I started switching things up and drove into the city, jogged to a set of stairs, and then started climbing… 172 stairs up, 172 stairs down… I did a flight taking two at a time, a few flights taking two at a time twice and then running up five singles, etc.  In all, I did 1,100 stairs.

Unfortunately, I can hardly walk today, but according to my trainer, doing one hour of stairs is the same level of output/work as doing three hours of running. That makes things a bit better.

We had to stop in the middle, unfortunately, and call 911 because there was a drunk guy being really aggressive towards both of us, chasing us up part of the stairs, making comments that were really inappropriate, etc, so I probably could have done more… But we had to wait for the police and be interviewed, etc.

Has anyone else been trying something new this summer in their fit journey?
